ITWA is headed by a board of experience, dedicated tennis writers from around the globe. Board members bios give you a glimpse into their tennis writing experience. CO-PRESIDENTSSebastian Fest (GER) was born in Buenos Aires, has covered tennis for the last 16 years and is based in Madrid as the Chief Sports Editor for the German News Agency's (DPA) Spanish service. Paul Newman (GBR) has worked for national newspapers in the United Kingdom for 31 years. He was Sports Editor of The Independent from 1991 to 2004, when he became Chief Sports Feature Writer. He has been the newspaper’s Tennis Correspondent since 2006. BOARD MEMBERSChris Bowers (GBR) is a freelance writer and broadcaster who has covered the tennis circuit for various media since 1992. He also runs Tennis Radio Network, a tennis media services company with three other journalists. Since 2006 he has been ITWA treasurer. Simon Cambers (GBR) is a freelance sports journalist who has covered tennis around the world since 1996. He is a regular contributor to The Guardian and in Scotland with The Glasgow Herald, has written for numerous newspapers and magazines and makes occasional forays into the broadcast world. Sandra Harwitt (USA) is a freelance writer who has worked for The New York Times, The Miami Herald, ESPN.com, Associated Press, Reuters and Tennis Magazine. A past co-president of the U.S. Tennis Writers' Association, she also serves on the Joint International Media Commission. Cécile Soler (FRA) is a staff sports writer for Le Figaro and has been covering tennis for sixteen years. She has been an ITWA board member for five years. Guillermo Salatino (ARG) was born in Buenos Aires and was a founder and member of the ITF Press Committee for 25 years. He was an ITWA founder and its first vice-president. He writes for Radio La Red and Fox Sports Latinamerican. Linda Pearce (AUS) has been the chief tennis writer for The Age, Melbourne, since 1998.
